Mobile app supporting survivors of torture and migrants in New Mexico, offering a safe space and essential resources for building self-sufficiency.
The Problem
Survivors of torture in New Mexico often struggle to access available resources from community organizations, hindering their ability to integrate into communities, heal, and thrive.

My role
This project was a solo endeavor, where I personally handled all aspects including research, ideation, wire-framing, prototyping, and user testing.
The Solution
To help survivors of torture (SOTs) in their journey to healing, I developed a mobile application that serves as a directory and resource guide. The app provides a user-friendly platform for survivors to independently navigate and explore the available resources to meet their needs. It includes features such as a direct referral system in partnership with the WINGS program (the only SOT program in NM), that unlocks additional features only available to users who are working with the WINGS program. By creating a centralized and accessible resource hub, the app will empower survivors to find support, build self-sufficiency, and integrate into communities.
